On May 6, 2013, the Wise Homestead hosted a total of 150 Third graders (plus teachers and a number of parent volunteers) from The Academy Charter School in Westminster. Arriving in two different shifts, the students rotated through different activities during their visit. While one small group toured the museum, others could be found playing pioneer games such as Blind Man’s Bluff, Tug of War, or participating in the three-legged race.  A last station involved a visit to the barn where students completed a word search , then located relics from the word search in the barn (plane, anvil, horseshoe, etc.).  O.E. Wise’s great, great, great, great granddaughter, Shannon Jones was proud to host her fellow classmates!
