Thanks for another successful season!
The Museum is now closed for the winter, but you can still schedule an appointment at 303-828-4568.
Biscuit Day this year was a big success. We served about 1,200 meals WITHOUT long lines.
Anadarko has closed down the oil/gas well on the grounds and removed all traces. This removed the 300 foot setback that restricted our use of the space.
The digitizing of our copies of the 1903-1905 Erie News is done and the text is available on the website, www.coloradohistoricnewspapers.org.
Mark your calendar for this year’s Homestead Christmas, December 10, 2016. The Museum will be open from 10 am to 4 pm with entertainment, hot cider, and cookies.
EHS is always looking for ways to better involve our members. In order to continue events like Biscuit Day, the Homestead Christmas, school visits, and other tours, we need your help. Please read our website and newsletter and share it with others to keep history alive .If you are interested in joining the Erie Historical Society or learning more about the Wise Homestead Museum, go to our website at www.eriehistoricalsociety.org
Thank you,
