The Museum is now open for the summer. The hours are 10 am to 2 pm every Saturday or by appointment. Admission is free and donations are always accepted. If you have out-of-town guests, we can open any time. Just give us a call at 303-828-4561.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for Biscuit Day this year. It will be September 19, 2015. Biscuit Day gets bigger and better every year!

Jim Stull’s new book, A Brief History of Erie, Colorado: Out of the Coal Dust, is now available at the Museum or at the Erie Chamber of Commerce. Jim Stull is an honorary member of the Erie Historical Society and makes frequent presentations about the history of the Town of Erie.

We have applied to have the Homestead put on the National List of Historic Places. The Mill restoration is our next priority. We need to save it before it falls down or must be removed. If you are interested in joining the Erie Historical Society or learning more about the Wise Homestead Museum, go to our website at www.eriehistoricalsociety.org or complete the form at the end of this newsletter.
